About ME

Niagara Award-Winning Singer-Songwriter | Mentor | Educator | Project Manager | Community Builder

About Angela Siracusa

Welcome! I’m Angela Siracusa—a Niagara-based, Nashville recording artist with a passion for music, mentorship, and building community. For over 20 years, I’ve lived and breathed music as a singer, songwriter, performer, educator, and advocate for artists of all ages.

My Music Journey:

My music journey began in my early teens, when I landed my first paid gig at just 13 in Welland, Ontario—so young I had to stay overnight! From there, I played in several wedding bands before joining forces with my brothers and Toni Savona to form our family band, Syracuse. We wrote a ton of songs and spent years touring all over Ontario, especially up and down the 401 corridor during the 80s and early 90s.

Since releasing my debut solo album in 2005, I’ve released over 100 songs and appeared on shows with legends like The Road Hammers, Sammy Kershaw, Hal Ketchum, Tim Hicks, Ryan Langdon, The Stellas, Serena Pryne, Nick Riot, Steve Goldberger, Jim Casson, and Dave Rave. My songs have been recorded by artists such as JP Maurice, Hayley Verrall, Zebb Rogers, and Matt Kristen, and I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with incredible songwriters including Ola Kiermacz and “It’s Jules.”

A special highlight: I toured extensively with David & Terri Church, joining them across the USA and Canada—with memorable stops in Nashville, Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Branson, Missouri, and Ontario.

I’m especially proud of my collaborations with many friends in the Niagara region and beyond, and you’ll find my music on all major streaming platforms. I’m known for an eclectic, infectious energy that inspires and motivates others—whether I’m on stage, in the studio, or working behind the scenes.

A personal milestone: I was invited to a Grammy party at the historic Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville because of my work on an album with Canada’s polka king, Walter Ostanek. That experience allowed me to meet a host of music stars and even be interviewed behind the scenes about my up-and-coming cooking show.

My Biggest Music Mentor:

From the very beginning, my biggest music mentor has been my brother, Mike Siracusa. He’s been by my side through every step of my journey, offering guidance, inspiration, and unwavering support—and I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.

Mentorship, Teaching & Open Mics:

Teaching and mentoring have always been at the heart of my journey. Since my 20s, I’ve taught hundreds of students across several different schools, most recently for Rick Rose at NIOMA (Niagara Institute of Music & Arts) in Niagara Falls.

I’m proud to be recognized as a beloved open mic host in the Niagara community—creating welcoming spaces for artists to connect, share, and grow.

Currently, I’m developing an innovative mentorship program in collaboration with some of my closest friends here in the Niagara Region—friends who are not only accomplished musicians, but also respected leaders in corporate and community circles. Together, we aim to support Canadian singer-songwriters and musicians with peer support, mental health advocacy, fair competition, and economic equity. Our vision is to create a supportive, accessible, and empowering space that recognizes the unique pressures artists face and helps them thrive both creatively and personally. Stay tuned—there’s much more to come, and many great names to be spoken!

Business & Collaboration:

From 2018 to 2024, I co-owned Catchin’ Waves Media & Event Radio Promotion with Grammy winner Gil Grand, providing artist management, publicity, and radio promotion. Stay tuned for the next chapter of Catchin’ Waves as we tailor our focus to support other artists and deliver the latest in music news!

SongPie Connection Inc., once a full-service publishing and studio company, is now a vibrant songwriter hub and an active Facebook community for everyone who’s been part of our journey.

Professional & Volunteer Experience:

Alongside my music career, I work full-time as a project manager for a medical association, blending creativity and organization in everything I do.

From 2022 to 2023, I also served as project coordinator for African Women Acting, contributing to important projects that uplift and empower artists and communities. I continue to volunteer with this incredible organization and remain close friends with its inspiring director, Sonia Aimy.

Family, Love & Creative Partnership:

I’m grateful every day for my loving partner, Rob Leclerc—a talented musician, radio announcer, and band member. Rob and I first met in his studio in April 2016, where I was an artist recording music. Our professional friendship blossomed into a deep connection, and by 2018, we began our journey together. We’ve shared the stage, collaborated on music, and even co-hosted our own vlog, Late Night Feed with Angie & Rob on Giant TV.

I’m also a proud stepmom to Rob’s two wonderful daughters, whom I’ve known since they were six and eight. We’re now in our eighth year as a blended family, and our home is filled with love, laughter, and music. Rob continues to play in several bands and is a big part of my musical story—as I am in his.

Roots & Heritage:

With my Italian background, family and tradition are central to my life. I’m especially lucky that my entire family has now moved to Niagara, making this vibrant community truly feel like home since I first settled here in 2007.

Always Creating:

I’m a proud SOCAN member and always writing songs—hoping for the big one! Songwriting is my heartbeat, and every new lyric or melody is a chance to connect, inspire, and maybe even change the world.

Beyond Music:

When I’m not making music, you’ll find me in the kitchen, sharing home-cooked recipes and stories that celebrate the joy of food and family.

Let’s Connect!

I’d love for you to join my journey. Check out my blog for stories, tips, and behind-the-scenes moments, and follow along on Instagram for daily updates, music, and more. Feel free to comment, share your own stories, or just say hi—I’m always up for a chat about music, mentoring, or what’s on the stove.

With gratitude,

Angela
